I have been working on three separate novels over the last several years and finally I have completed one of them. This is "Snowfed Waters" which is aimed at adults and young adults.
When I've mentioned my "adult book" to friends and relations, several raised eyebrows. But (sorry to disappoint) this isn't anything racy, although there is a little light romance. And it is better written than Fifty Shades.
This novel is available on kindle via this website (for a very good price), but physical books have been printed too. And I made the leap and decided to launch on Amazon too.
Much of the book is set on Rajapur Island at the foot of the foothills of the Western Himalayas and I've written from the points of view an English woman, high caste men and of low caste women (getting under the skins of Guliya and Moti in particular, who also star in
A Glimpse of Eternal Snows). It was a lot of fun to write - especially when the misogynist got his comeuppance.
And I was quite surprised what my English heroine got up to. Her adventures took on a bit of a life of their own.
